Senior Research Technician (#0811C)

Education and Training:

  • The successful candidate will have a M.S. or B.S. degree in microbiology, immunology, or a related field.
  • Preferential candidates will have at least five years of experience in a biological research laboratory with preference given to a background in virology or immunology, and at least one year of experience with animal models and cell culture techniques.
  • The candidate is expected to have experience with common molecular and cellular assays.
  • The candidate is expected to have strong verbal and written communication skills, and be independently motivated to excellence.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Develop in vitro screening assays and animal model systems for the assessment of the efficacy of the Center’s therapeutic products.
  • Maintain excellent communication with supervisor, project and Center’s Scientific teams.
  • Analyze and summarize data for presentation to project teams.
  • Maintain laboratory notebook and records in a detailed and descriptive manner.
  • Manage day-to-day laboratory activities, maintenance, and ordering.
  • Understand the confidential nature of the research and conduct all interactions within the constraints of the Center’s policies and compliance protocols.
